G-Shock

G-SHOCK is a line of watches manufactured by the Japanese electronics company Casio, designed to resist mechanical stress, shock and vibration. G-SHOCK is an abbreviation for Gravitational Shock. The idea of creating a timepiece that will not break, even if dropped came to engineer Kikuo Ibe over 35 years ago. It was not long before the first G-SHOCK, the model DW-5000C, was launched in 1983.
